The Wisconsin chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism, the international organization that helps create vibrant and walkable cities, towns, and neighborhoods where people have diverse choices for how they live, work, shop, and get around.

New Urbanists share the conviction that our physical environment has a direct impact on our chances for happy, prosperous lives. Our movement includes professionals, leaders, advocates, citizens, and other like-minded organizations working to identify and address the range of issues impeding the development and redevelopment of well-designed neighborhoods, public places, commercial corridors and rural environments.

We’d love for it to include you too here in Wisconsin, which has hosted two CNU Congresses (Milwaukee in 1999 and Madison in 2011) and has an award-winning tradition of new urbanist community building including influential examples ranging from the Park East Freeway Redevelopment, the LEED-ND platinum-rated Brewery neighborhood and Westlawn Gardens in Milwaukee to Middleton Hills and the urban bicycle network in Madison. Join CNU today and stay connected to the movement for better cities and towns in Wisconsin.
